Eligibility Requirements for Pre-Graduation Applicants |
Education must be obtained from a formal education program that is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) or a program that has reached candidacy status with ACAOM. Applicants will not be approved for exams until your school is either accredited or has reached candidacy status with ACAOM.
An official school transcript and a completed Pre-Graduation Form are the only supporting documents required from Pre-Graduation Status applicants. The transcript and Pre-Graduation Form must be sent directly from your school to NCCAOM.
Pre-Graduation applicants are advised to consult with their school’s program director regarding the best time to take the National Certification Examination(s). Schools may have their own internal policies regarding when they will submit the transcript on behalf of their students. Once the applicant has completed the minimum hours (please see Pre-Graduation Eligibility Table), the transcripts and approval of each examination must be received directly from school. |
