CNT Validation Procedure Effective July 1, 2010

The Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine's (CCAOM) Clean Needle Technique (CNT) course is required for all applicants seeking National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicines' (NCCAOM) certification.  NCCAOM certification cannot be awarded until verification of the completion of the CNT course is received from CCAOM.

Effective July 1, 2010 all candidates, who complete the CCAOM CNT course, must have their validated CNT Certificate sent directly to NCCAOM from the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM).  NCCAOM will no longer accept notarized CNT certificates sent from the candidate as a valid required document for certification.  Failure to complete this requirement will result in a delay in certification.

Please visit the CCAOM website at www.ccaom.org for more information on scheduling to take the CNT course or to have verification of the CNT certificate sent directly to NCCAOM.  The CCAOM cost for this service is reduced to ten dollars ($10.00) beginning July 1, 2010 through the end of 2010.  Please contact the NCCAOM Certification Services staff at applications@nccaom.org for any questions regarding application information.
