State News

NCCAOM Advocacy works closely with state and federal regulators to influence regulations pertaining to our Diplomates and keep our members informed of new developments. Our advocacy team closely monitors proposed changes with federal agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The federal regulatory process can be complicated and confusing, especially as notices of rulemaking, proposed rules and final rules proliferate from dozens of agencies. NCCAOM Advocacy works to break down the important provisions in new regulations and communicate with the members, whether to inform them of upcoming changes, garner feedback from Diplomates, or solicit grassroots action to influence policy development.

NCCAOM advocacy experts will continue to share news of regulatory developments through our Action Alerts and Advocacy Updates, and ask Diplomates to weigh in on relevant proposals as necessary.
