Register to meet with your U.S. Representatives about H.R. 4803
This summer, the ASA and the NCCAOM invite you to join us for our Summer Push on Capitol Hill to support H.R. 4803, the Acupuncture for our Seniors Act. Participants will meet virtually with U.S. Representative’s office to ask for their support for H.R. 4803. As the temperatures tick up in D.C., so too does the urgency for Congress to get things done before the upcoming campaign season.
This June and July, Congress will be busy advancing legislative priorities and being as productive as possible ahead of their November elections. This is a great time to tell them how H.R. 4803 benefits their constituents—your patients and you!
Starting June 13, the ASA and the NCCAOM will begin its virtual Summer Push to secure more co-sponsors for H.R. 4803. Participating is easy and no policy experience is necessary! All you need to do is Register and the ASA/NCCAOM team will schedule a meeting with your U.S. Representative’s office.
Ahead of the Summer Push, the ASA and NCCAOM will provide a training session (live and recorded) for all registrants. This training will to provide all the information that you need ahead of your Hill meeting. During the training, the ASA/NCCAOM will provide an overview of H.R. 4803, best practices for conducting virtual Hill meetings, talking points for H.R. 4803. We’ll also discuss your unique role in these meetings. The live training session will include opportunities for Q&A, so come with questions! At the conclusion of the live training session, attendees will have the opportunity to join break-out rooms for Hill meeting demonstration and practice with ASA/NCCAOM leaders and your peers.
