PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY (PDA) PROVIDERS
NCCAOM’s core mission is to assure the safety and well-being of the public. During the global pandemic, the PDA program will not approve course(s) that address treating COVID-19, nor treatment protocols that may be discussed in the community. NCCAOM PDA Providers may reference differential diagnosis and protocols for those diagnoses commonly used within the profession. Courses may make reference to new research but must have a disclaimer noting there are no “proven treatments” for the pandemic viruses.
The NCCAOM recommends that PDA Providers comply with the pandemic virus guidelines set forth by local public health and government authorities in providing for a safe classroom environment. Wearing masks, social distancing, and hand sanitizers should be utilized during face-to-face events.
