In response to some of the feedback from our “Journey to Naming our Profession” Town Hall, the ASA and NCCAOM have postponed the release of the survey for further development to early 2022. We apologize for the delay.  The additional time allows for greater opportunity for further educational outreach and community feedback prior to data collection.

Thank you for outstanding introductory presentations on cultural awareness and racial disparities in healthcare. In future presentations, please emphasize for my white colleagues that it’s the cultural construct of race and historical lack of access, not physical differences that create the disparities you so succinctly describe.

Thank you!!

M.B.

Afua, you have my full support for cultural diversity training for recertification and a State licensure. We have pushback in Michigan from some healthcare providers which tells me it’s especially needed.

Thank you.

B.M.

This has been fabulous, thank you very much for presenting! Being a white woman in healthcare, I have seen many surprising things, even from people of my own color. I acknowledge that I have work to do in the realm of inherent racism in my culture and life, I was raised in the South and grew up hearing all kinds of negative attitudes about people of color, which I never felt was accurate and did my best to not let their biases affect me.

Thank you!

M.B.

Thank you for these presentations and to the accomplished and impressive speakers. These are important discussions. I am pleased that they have been included in our discussions as acupuncturists.

Thank you!

M.K.

This is the best NCCAOM/ASA Town Hall that I have attended so far. The speakers are great.

Thank you.

I believe the information especially about the challenges in the ER is relevant to us. Thank you for sharing the inner works and challenges of the ER during this pandemic.

I am happy to have this information first hand from someone in my state…even 45 mins away from me. It is important for us, as acupuncturist, to know what is happening across the integrative forums. We should not put blinders on to other healthcare areas. We need to know, so we can see where we can help.

Thank you again,

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality,

―Martin Luther King Jr.,Letter from the Birmingham Jail

As a holistic medical community, we recognize that compassion and love for one another takes work, and that overcoming centuries of systemic racism and discrimination demands constant vigilance, action, and collaboration. We stand committed to anti-racist practices that root out bias, discrimination and oppression in the medical field. Malpractice and Liability during Covid-19

Attendee’s Feedback

I am so happy to join in NCCAOM-ASA Town Hall Meeting which provided very important knowledge and information of malpractice and liability during Covid-19.

Mr. William G.F. Sullivan and Ms Marilyn Allen did perfect presentation with more details focusing safety issue during processing clinic, it’s very practicable.

Mr. Michael Taromina also did wonderful presentation focusing liability, all of practitioners should follow local government policy and meanwhile follow the science, follow the research in order to avoid law issue.

Good information!

M. S.

At any rate, the information was excellent, thought provoking and very relevant. While all speakers were excellent, Michael at the last segment was especially good regarding lease costs, refusing services, equal standards, etc.

Thank You

A. J.

I just wanted to let you know that the one tonight was excellent. All of my lingering questions were answered.

Well done NCCAOM!

I have been impressed with the level of professionalism and knowledge that you and the presenters have displayed. I have been a member for many years and it is just now that my respect has blossomed for your dedication and wide reaching education for our profession. Your organization is top of the line for me; especially now that I have a more personal connection to the level of expertise behind the scene. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart that I can tune in each Wednesday and receive guidance and a bonus of 2 PD credits. The town hall meetings have helped me to cope on many levels. as it has become evident how much my profession has meant to me all these years. I hope to return.
