
NCCAOM CPR REQUIREMENT UPDATE

The CPR course is a mandatory requirement for NCCAOM recertification. Currently, an all-online course is accepted and Diplomate is awarded 4 PDA Points for a course taken within 4 years of Certification expiration date.
The taskforce researched and reviewed the best practices on CPR course requirements for healthcare professional organizations.
Based on the taskforce review, in order to ensure competency is achieved for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course, the taskforce proposed procedural changes to the type of CPR courses accepted for NCCAOM recertification.
The following updated requirements for CPR course outlined below.
A CPR course must:
- Be for healthcare practitioners
- Encompass hands-on practice
- Include a minimum of four (4) hours:

- Two (2) hours online + two (2) hours in-person
OR - Four (4) hours in person
- Two (2) hours online + two (2) hours in-person
